Nationwide Announces Improvements for Life Products

October 19, 2022

Beginning Nov. 7, 2022, Nationwide is implementing a price improvement across all scenarios for the current CareMatters II product.  Additionally, an increase in the maximum issue age for YourLife CareMatters has been announced in California and New York.

Note: These pricing changes do not apply to Nationwide YourLife CareMatters in New York and California.

LTCI In-Force Rate Adjustments Announced for Six States

Genworth Financial has announced in-force rate increases in South Dakota for its Privileged Choice®, Classic Select®, PCS II, and Choice 1 long-term care insurance products, effective Oct. 17, 2022. Policyholders will begin being notified of these changes starting Oct. 25, 2022.

Users can also chat live with an expert, get personalized recommendations, and subscribe to relevant email content.

OneAmerica Announces Change to Medical Requirements for Full Underwriting

October 11, 2022

Effective immediately, OneAmerica’s laboratory vendor now requires a blood specimen to complete the panel of tests full underwriting requires. Blood specimens will be required for adults age 35 and older on products issued and underwritten by State Life for face amounts of $0 to $99,999. This change will not impact the processing time for underwriting and only applies to full underwriting. Expedited underwriting is not affected.

Lincoln Financial Implements Automated Follow-Up Email eReply Portal

Beginning Sept. 26, 2022, Lincoln Financial Group has implemented an Automated Follow-Up (AFU) Email eReply Portal. This enables users to reply directly to outstanding requirements, upload documents and forms, and more. An eSignature Agreement Protocol was also provided.

In-Force Rate Adjustments Announced for Six States

September 21, 2022

Mutual of Omaha will be implementing in-force LTCI rate adjustments effective Dec. 1, 2022, in the states of Alabama, Massachusetts, Montana, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. The state of Virginia requires a 75-day notification period to all policyholders, and the effective date for the increase will be Jan. 1, 2023.

OneAmerica Bringing Improvements to OneSource Online Portal

OneAmerica has announced upcoming changes to its OneSource Online portal. Improvements to the user experience will begin Sept. 20, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be required starting Thursday, Oct. 6. OneAmerica recommends updating your password and account information before Oct. 6.
